What exactly is a Cadillac Reformer and how is it different from a regular reformer?

The Cadillac Reformer combines a sliding reformer carriage with a full overhead frame fitted with spring bars, a trapeze, push through bar, and leg springs. This allows work in all three planes of movement simultaneously. A standard reformer operates primarily in one horizontal direction. The Cadillac includes spinal traction, overhead resistance, inversions, and full body mobility sequences that a reformer alone simply cannot offer. Joseph Pilates considered it the most complete expression of his method, and it remains the most versatile apparatus in Pilates today.
